Just a little heads-up to all of you readers. I have now added a Ratings list to the right side of this blog. I have ratings from January 6th-11th. I will try to update it every week. Credit for the ratings goes to http://www.broadcastingcable.com.
First order of business is GSN's return to the Poker business. GSN is getting its Hit Poker Show, High Stakes Poker ready for air. It will begin to air on Sunday, March 1st. GSN will also continue to air a mixture of older seasons of the show along with World Poker Tour. I will get the time it will air as soon as it is released.
There is also a small change coming to GSN's daytime schedule. On February 9th, GSN will go back to episode 1 of Let's Make a Deal from 1971. This will replace The All New Let's Make a Deal on Weekdays at 11:00pm.
Fox has decided to pull the Game Show Hole in The Wall after returning to the air on Sunday Nights this past Sunday. Ratings were horrible for the return episodes with the 7:00pm episode getting 3.39 million viewers and the 7:30pm airing getting 3.32 Million. There is no word on If the unaired episodes of Hole will ever air.
Replacing the show will be Game Show Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? Reruns will occupy the Sunday at 7:00pm slot for at least 2 weeks.
More news coming from The Price is Right camp. Former Director of Price, Bart Eskander, is going to be replaced by Current director for Deal or No Deal, Richard Brian DiPirro. It was announced by ClockGameJohn on Golden-road.net.
Other than Deal or No Deal, DiPirro has directed such shows as Whammy! for GSN, and Game Show Marathon for CBS. He will start right away.
GSN wants it viewers to tune in this weekend and Win next week with GSN Live. GSN will give viewers a chance to win an extra $100 in cash during its GSN Live interstitial Programming. While your watching your favorite Game/Casino Shows this weekend, watch at the bottom of the screen for "Fun Facts" about Presidents. Then on Monday, call into the show for a chance to win an Extra $100 on top of your regular winnings. If you answer the True/False Question correctly about the Trivia, You Win!
After 8 Years on the job, Director Bart Eskander has been fired from his role on The Price is Right. This has been confirmed by Marc Greene from Fan site Golden-Road.net. Bart was put on the job after longtime Director Paul Alter was fired from the show by Bob Barker in 2000.
A poster from G-R.net says that Drew Carey was the person to fire Bart from the job. It has not been confirmed by anyone that this was the case.
Host of Deal or No Deal and NBC's new Prank show Howie Do it has been hospitalized due to an irregular Heart beat. His publicist Lewis Kay says "He did not have a Heart Attack". He was admitted so Doctors could monitor his condition. It is being said that he will be released tomorrow.
